Montreal, March 26, 2026 — The Montreal Afro-Canadian Cultural Centre (CCAM) is pleased to announce that Debora Bomolo has been selected by the jury as the recipient of the 2025 Amina Gerba Emerging Grant. Her project stands out for its innovative vision and her commitment to using culture as a lever for social transformation.
Debora Bomolo is a project coordinator, cultural manager, and co-founder of Cultur’elles MTL, where she serves as executive coordinator. Through this initiative, she uses art and culture to create inclusive spaces, amplify the voices of women of color, and highlight historically underrepresented perspectives.
Founded in 2025 on the initiative of Senator and businesswoman Amina Gerba, the Grant Émergence aims to support young Black entrepreneurs aged 21 to 35 working in the fields of cultural entrepreneurship and artistic heritage management. Through its commitment to the next generation, it offers $3,000 in financial support, combined with tailored mentoring in collaboration with Entreprendre Ici.
