Bal Afrikana
The Bal Afrikana is a flagship fundraising initiative of the Montreal Afro-Canadian Cultural Centre (CCAM). The event offers an immersive celebration of the rich cultures of black communities, inviting participants to showcase traditional African and Afro-Caribbean dress, while highlighting the contribution of the creative industry and Afro fashion to Montreal.
Now a not-to-be-missed annual event, Bal Afrikana features a cocktail reception, an exclusive fashion show featuring African and Afro-Caribbean creations and trends, and dancing.
Taking part in the Bal Afrikana also means supporting initiatives that promote access to art and culture for young people from historically disadvantaged neighborhoods.
